Ruth in Boaz's Field

The story is told in the Old Testament Book of Ruth. Ruth gathers up the barleycorn left in Boaz's field after the harvest to support her mother-in-law. There she meets the wealthy landowner who admires her loyalty to family. Eventually Ruth and Boaz marry; King David, Mary, Joseph and Jesus are among their descendants.
